Peter in Florence is the first micro-distillery specialized in gin in Italy, with a dedicated laboratory to offer a complete 360-degree gin experience. A London dry gin born where the world’s best juniper grows, in Tuscany.

Peter in Florence is entirely made in Tuscany using the first Carter Head still present in Italy, faithfully reproduced according to the original 1831 design. The result is an elegant blend of 14 botanicals with a particular emphasis on the iris flower, a symbol of the city of Florence since the 9th century, always synonymous with elegance and purity. The botanicals are cultivated and harvested by hand to be used in the production of small batches of 314 bottles at a time. To produce Peter in Florence gin, we use a traditional steam infusion distillation method, with a reduced version of the historic Carter Head still, which has produced some of the world’s best gins.

Tasting Notes:

• BOTANICALS: juniper, iris root, iris petals, dry lemon peel, rosemary flowers, cardamom seeds, angelica root, bitter almonds, coriander, cassia bark, rose berries, lavender, bergamot peel, grains of paradise.

• NOSE: Immediately seduced by its intoxicating aroma, transporting us straight to Tuscany. 

• PALATE: On the palate, its low alcohol perception doesn’t at all emphasize its 43% alcohol volume, thus bringing out its main characteristics dictated by the round juniper notes at the entrance and floral ones in the second part, with iris root leading. 

• FINISH: Its “aftertaste” is very long and intoxicating, with a return of juniper that invites another tasting!

• GARNISH: Lemon zest, rosemary, or juniper berries.
